Born in Roxbury (Mission Hill), Massachusetts, Versatyle spent the first
ten years of his life exploring his youth on the streets of Boston before
relocating to Pembroke, Georgia where he spent the next eight to nine
years of his life.
While facing tremendous hardships as a young black male in an urban-
southern environment, Verse began rapping and writing as a means of
stress release.   Forced to adapt to many different situations and subject
matters, he soon became able to cater to audiences of any coastal
influence.  The name Versatyle was chosen because it identifies with his
character and varying styles of lyrical delivery.
Verse has been the opening act at numerous concerts including Busta
Rhymes, the Roots and Mos Def, and has also shared the stage with a
number of phenomenal underground artists and groups, such as Mr. Lif
and Akrobatic.  Venues played include numerous colleges as well as clubs
all over the United States.  He has also performed at the prestigious New
York International Music Festival and was a featured act at the Mass Urban
Music Conference.
Today, he has multiple releases in the mixtape circuit and is currently
working on a full length project entitled “Plantation to the Block.”   The
album is an introspective and revolutionary insight into the parallels of pre
civil rights America and the mind set of modern African-American youth.
